Everything a buyer needs to check, published before you ask.

Where something is not yet in place we say so, rather than leaving you to find out during a bid evaluation. Three states only. Confirmed means it exists and we can evidence it. In progress means it is genuinely under way. On request means we will send it rather than publish it.

Our head office is in Ontario, which is the test the Buy Ontario Procurement Directive applies when a broader public sector buyer gives preference to an Ontario business. We meet it on the head-office limb, not on a headcount limb.

02

Licensing and compliance.

These are the items a buyer is most likely to be blocked by, so they are stated first and stated plainly.

We would rather show you an accurate status than an impressive one. If a requirement is conditional on something above being in place, ask us where it stands before you spend time on us, and we will give you a date rather than an assurance.

Engagement models

Three: contract, contract-to-hire and direct hire. Each is set out, including who carries which risk, on our How We Staff You page.

Coverage

Ontario. Head office in Oakville, in the Halton employment area, within reach of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area. We will tell you plainly whether we can staff a specific location before you shortlist us, rather than claiming national coverage we cannot deliver.

Capacity

We are a three-partner firm and we do not pretend to be larger. Where a requirement exceeds what we can genuinely deliver we will say so rather than accept it and under-fill, which is the failure mode that costs a program more than a slow fill does.

04

How we engage and pay the people we place.

Procurement asks this before recruitment does, so it belongs here rather than buried.

  • Contract workers are engaged primarily as incorporated contractors invoicing through their own corporation, with a T4 contract arrangement available for people who are not incorporated.
  • Workers are paid every two weeks, with the first pay period held one cycle.
  • Workers are paid on schedule regardless of when a client settles our invoice. We do not operate pay-when-paid, so a slow payment cycle on your side never becomes an attendance problem on ours.
  • If your process requires a specific employment structure, tell us at the outset and we will confirm what we can support rather than discovering it at contract stage.
05

Screening of placed personnel.

Separate from our own organisational screening, and a question every buyer should ask. This is our standard package on every candidate before submission.

  • Identity and work authorisation verified
  • Employment history verified for the previous five years
  • Two employment references taken by phone at supervisor level
  • Education and credential verification where the role requires a credential
  • Canadian criminal record check where the role or the client requires one
  • Where a role carries a security requirement, the existing screening level and grant date verified directly rather than taken from a resume

Where a solicitation specifies a screening package beyond this, we run theirs. Evidence of what was checked is retained and produced on request.

06

How a public body can contract us today.

We hold no federal supply arrangements yet, and we would rather write that than let you find it out. Here are the routes that are open now, honestly ranked.

01

Directly, within your own low-value thresholds

Most public bodies can award below a stated threshold without an open competition. This is the most common route for a first engagement, and it is how a supplier builds the past performance a larger competition asks for.

02

Through an open competition you post

We monitor the platforms Ontario public bodies actually use, including bids&tenders, Biddingo, MERX, Bonfire and the Ontario Tenders Portal.

03

As a subcontractor to a prime

A prime already holding a supply arrangement or vendor of record arrangement. If you have an incumbent supplier who is short in a discipline we cover, that is a legitimate and fast route.

04

Federal supply arrangements

Temporary Help Services and ProServices are the medium-term path, not a claim we make today.

07

What we will confirm on request.

Ask and we will send these rather than asking you to take our word for it.

  • Certificate of insurance, with limits, once coverage is bound On request
  • WSIB clearance certificate, once issued On request
  • Screening evidence for a specific placed candidate On request
  • Our standard terms, and confirmation of whether we will sign yours On request
  • References, as they exist. We will not invent them On request
